Ian Wilson
CEO
Hi, I’m Ian, founder and CEO of Aviarc Pty Ltd.
My professional experience includes over 12000 hours of flying, from charter work in outback Queensland and the Northern Territory, to airline operations in medium turboprop and jet transport aircraft, aero-medical flying, floatplane instructing, and corporate jet charter.
I bring the knowledge and experience gained from more than 30 years in the aviation industry, to your business. This includes many years as a General Aviation Pilot, Flying Doctor Pilot, Airline Training Captain on Boeing 737 and Embraer 190 Jet aircraft, Chief Pilot, Flight Instructor, Aviation Safety/Quality Manager, Investigator, and Auditor. I have a graduate certificate and graduate diploma in accident investigation and safety management and founded Aviarc to provide affordable safety and quality management services to the Aviation industry.
Lesley Motherwell
BUSINESS MANAGER
Hi, I’m Lesley, Business Manager at Aviarc.
In this role, I manage Business Accounts, HR (staff and clients) and assist with the application of Business Marketing Strategies.
I also run my own small business – Elements Health Australia, where I combine my qualifications as a Mental Health Social Worker and Personal Trainer/Yoga Instructor.
I am a strong believer in the connection between body, mind, and soul and draw on my background in Fitness and Human Services to guide clients towards obtaining better holistic health. Services I provide are inclusive of Counselling, Health and Wellness Coaching and Fitness/Yoga instruction.
Under this banner, I also provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to staff and clients within the Aviarc/Aviation community.
I am passionate about all of my work and am always available to take your calls regarding any of the above matters.

Alexandra Paton
MARKETING & SALES MANAGER
Hi, I’m Alexandra and I am the Marketing and Sales Manager at Aviarc.
My background has been in Media, many years of Media! From television and radio sales, to the past 18 years working within advertising agencies based on the Gold Coast. Now working independently, I’m concentrating on Business Development and Customer Relations.
My primary role is approaching current and new clients, learning about their business needs, listening, discussing, planning and ultimately finding the best solution to meet these requirements, for both now and into the future.
My work history, through taking the time to build trust and mutual respect, has resulted in some brilliant and long term client partnerships over the course of those years. I am looking forward to building similar relationships with Aviarc clients and delivering opportunities of relevance wherever possible.
Dan Munroe
SENIOR HSEQ MANAGER
Hi, I’m Dan, a dedicated Senior HSEQ Manager at Aviarc. With over 15 years’ experience in the Aviation industry, I’ve developed and implemented comprehensive HSEQ programs that align with organisational goals and regulatory standards across various aviation organisations. My experience has given me a deep understanding of the complexities of effective safety management systems.
As a positive and open-minded leader, I excel in collaboration and critical thinking, ensuring high-quality deliverables while striving for continuous improvement. My expertise includes safety and quality management, risk management, lead auditing, and change management.
I hold qualifications in lead auditing and aviation SMS and am well-versed in the Air Maestro safety system.
My proactive, hands-on approach emphasises employee engagement and cultivating a strong safety culture. Safety and quality are my top priorities at every organisational level.
In my free time, I enjoy being active and spending weekends at the beach with my family.

Hello, I’m Jarrod, HSEQ Manager at Aviarc.
My main goal is to uphold and enhance health, safety, environmental, and quality standards for our clients, ensuring peak operational efficiency and safety.
With experience in operational and specialised safety roles across various airlines, I understand the aviation industry’s demand for dedicated safety professionals.
My academic background includes a Bachelor of Aviation and a Graduate Certificate in Aviation Management, providing me with a solid foundation to excel in this dynamic field.
I recognise the challenges operators face in managing multiple programs and navigating complex Safety Management Systems. Proficient in systems like SERA, IQSMS, and Air Maestro, I can help optimise your platforms to meet your needs.
Steve Cross
SENIOR SOFTWARE TECHNICIAN
Hello, I’m Steve, Senior Software Technician at Aviarc.
With four decades of experience in the aviation industry, I have successfully occupied various management positions, including General Manager, Chief Pilot, Chief Flying Instructor, Check & Training, along with Testing Officer approvals.
More recently I have been employed in the RCC as a Senior Coordinator for Aviation Search and Rescue. Proficient in software development, my role at AVIARC as an Air Maestro Technician draws upon my skills in designing, implementing, and optimising systems and reporting platforms.
My professional experience merges extensive aviation knowledge with technical proficiency, yielding innovative and impactful solutions for our clients.
Robert (Bob) Alexandra
HSEQ MANAGER
Hi, I’m Bob – HSEQ Manager at Aviarc.
I have 35 years flying experience, including chief pilot for 20 years, a check pilot for 25 years and flight training experience of 30 years. The vast majority of this was multi-engine fixed wing and included both piston and turbine powered and pressurised flight. On retirement from active flying, I accrued some 17,000 hours flight experience.
During my 15 years at the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Queensland, I implemented and managed the Aviation Safety Management system. I co-authored the RFDS Qld’s Fatigue Risk Management System and also held the role of Fatigue Manager for several years.
I have now been working in aviation safety management systems for approximately 10 years and specialise at Aviarc in incident investigations and fatigue management. I have built a solid rapport with both the ATSB and CASA and use my knowledge in a consultancy role at Aviarc, where appropriate.
